In Flanders a "Museum" is also "Museum". But the plural is "Musea", not "Museums". In Wallonia you will read "Musée" (plural: "Musées").

3 Seafront Maritime Park in Bruges. Interactive exhibition about the sea and all its facets. Housed in a former fish market. Possibility to visit the lightship "Westhinder" and a Russian submarine. Open: daily from 10 AM - 6 PM.
4 Polder Museum Lillo-Fort in Antwerp. In 34 halls from the museum one can discover the history and life in the disappeared and the still existing villages in the polder. Open from Easter - September 30 on Sundays and on public holidays from 1 PM - 6 PM.
5 Nature Educational Center "De Wulp" in Neerpelt. The Center lies just South of a 200 ha big nature area in the transition from dry sand grounds to the valley of the river Dommel. From the center one can follow some walking routes through the nature area. Open every Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM - 6 Pm.
6 Bee-keeping Museum in Kalmthout. All about traditional bee-keeping, as it was exercised for centuries in the region. The museum has a collection of apiaries from all over the world. Open during weekends. From November - March from 2 PM - 5 PM. Rest of the year from 10 AM - 5 PM. During Easter holidays and Summer holidays open daily from 10 AM - 5 PM.
7 Isotopolis in Dessel. Information Center where the control and the processing of radioactive wastes is presented in a structural and comprehensive way. Only to be visited by groups by appointment.
8 National Maritime Museum "Het Steen" in Antwerp. "Het Steen" (from about 1200) is the oldest building in Antwerp. A collection of old and modern ship's models, prints, charts, and maritime utensils. The open-air part consists of several ships on dry land. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM.
9 Etnographic Museum in Antwerp. The collection contains objects from several cultures from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and North and South America. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM.
10 Provincial Diamonds Museum in Antwerp. Shows the history of the stone, the diamond treatment, diamond trade, and the role of Antwerp as a world center of diamond treatment and trade. Open from Thursday - Tuesday from 10 AM - 5.30 PM.
11 Rubens' House in Antwerp. This is the 17th century patrician house of Pieter Paul Rubens. Nowadays it is a museum with paintings from Rubens and his closest co-workers. The beautiful garden is like a garden in Rubens' period. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM.
12 Silver Museum in Antwerp. Housed in a 16th century castle in the "Ter Revierenhof" Park, the museum shows silver ware from the 16th - 20th century. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5.30 PM.
13 Ecohuis Antwerpen in Antwerp. Eco stands for ecological. This is the interactive center for environment education of the city of Antwerp. One can learn everything about space, water, energy, and wood. Healthy snacks and drinks can be tasted in the eco-café. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 4.30 PM.
14 Hospital Museum in Bruges. Historic hospital complex from the 14th till the 17th century with a treasure of art objects from Gothic to Baroque. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 9.30 AM - 12.30 PM and from 1.30 PM - 5 PM.
15 Royal Museum of Beaux Arts in Antwerp. This is the most important museum of Belgium. The collection contains about 1.200 paintings that give a splendid overview of old and modern Arts (14th - 20th century). The main point lies with the 17th century masters like Rubens, Jordaens, and Van Dijck. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM.
16 Photo Museum Antwerp Province in Antwerp. Museum that brings photography, film, and new media together. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 6 PM.
17 Bakery Museum in Geel. Much attention for the baker's trade with an exhibition of many old objects. In a barn are shown some transport means of bakers in the past. Open from April - October on Sundays from 1 PM - 6 PM.
18 Lace Center in Bruges. Every afternoon there are demonstrations. Open: all working days from 10 AM - Noon and from 2 PM - 6 PM. On Saturdays till 5 PM.
19 Choco-Story in Bruges. The museum follows the history of the cacao bean, as the Maya's started cultivating them 2000 years ago, till the fine chocolate, as we know it today. And, of course, you can taste locally produced Belgian chocolate. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM.
20 Malt house and Brewery Museum in Bruges. The malt house from 1902 was used till 1976. All equipment still stands on the original places. The whole gives a very good idea how in former days malt was made from barley. Open from April - September from Wednesday - Sunday from 2 PM - 6 PM.
21 Flemish Tram and Bus Museum in Antwerp. Housed in an old tramway depot, this museum has a collection of over 55 busses, trams, and trolley busses from 1899 - 1991. Open from April 15 - October 15 during the weekends and on public holidays from 2 PM - 5.30 PM.
22 Groeningemuseum in Bruges. Overview of the Flemish paintings from the 15th till the 20th century. A unique collection of Flemish Primitives. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 9.30 AM - 5 PM.
23 Museum "Gruuthuse" in Bruges. This city museum for archaeology and applied arts is housed in the 15th century palace of the Lords of Gruuthuse. The collection consists of 2.500 pieces of art in 23 rooms: weaponry, wall tapestries, musical instruments, sculptures, and coins. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 9.30 AM - 5 PM.
24 Steam Locomotive Maldegem in Maldegem. Housed in the former railway station. The visitor can make a trip in a steam train to Donk over narrow gauge or to Eeklo on the museum railroad. Open from May - September: every Sunday and on public holidays from 11 AM - 5 PM. In July and August from Wednesday - Monday.
25 Hospital Museum, Sint-Jans Hospital in Bruges. Hospital from the 12th century with in the church and the St; Cornelius chapel 6 master pieces of Hans Memling. In the old monastery: an original 18th century pharmacy. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 9.30 AM - 5 PM.
26 Brewery Museum in Bocholt. A large collection of brewery equipment from several countries and a complete brewery from 1900 - 1910. Open in July and August, daily from 1 PM - 6 PM. Guided visits at 1.30 PM and 3.30 PM.
27 Open-Air Museum Atlantikwall in Oostende. Open-Air museum with 60 in detail restored bunkers from WWI and WWII. Open from April - November 11: daily from 2 PM - 5 PM. During weekends and on public holidays from 10.30 AM - 6 PM.
28 Archaeological Museum "Walraversijde" in Ostend. Through the visitor's center (shop and audio-visual introduction) the visitor lands in 1465. Voices from fishermen guide you through 4 renovated medieval houses. Via the archaeological find-spot the visitor arrives in an interactive museum, where he can admire the objects in their historical context. Open From April 1 - November 11, daily from 2 PM - 5 PM. During weekends, on public holidays, and during school vacations from 10.30 AM - 6 PM.
29 Middelheim Museum in Antwerp. This museum shows its permanent collection of modern art in open-air. The collection consists of 300 sculptures. Open from October - March from Tuesday - Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM. In April and September till 7 PM, and in May and August till 8 PM.
30 Gin House of Hoorebeke in Eeklo. Museum about the social and economic history of the region in general and about the gin distilleries in particular. Open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 AM - Noon.
31 Astronomical Observatory "Beisbroek" in Bruges. The visitor can observe the sun, the stars, and the planets. There is a permanent exhibition and there are planetarium presentations at fixed hours. Presentations on Wednesdays and Sundays at 3 PM and 4.30 PM, on Fridays at 8.30 PM.
